The Old Shades
The Old Shades (Les Vieilles Ombres) is a former Cognac estate consisting of our family home and four gites - a large cottage which can accommodate eight to ten people and three smaller gîtes each accommodating two to four people.
Set within three acres of walled parkland (making it an ideal location for those with small children), there are two traditional gated entrances to The Old Shades, each leading into their own spacious courtyard. There is ample parking for all gites within the grounds.
Guests at The Old Shades have a shared heated swimming pool, which is fenced and gated for safety. At the side of the pool is a large patio area with sun loungers, umbrellas and tables to enable you to relax and enjoy the sunshine until late in the day. There is even a separate changing room, shower and toilet located at the side of the pool.
In the village, just a short walk away, there is a tennis court available - we can provide you with both rackets and balls for this.
We have the following facilities at The Old Shades:

- Combined swing, seesaw & slide
We can provide all the equipment needed for the above facilities.
There is a stone BBQ situated by each gite along with a garden table & chairs. Should the sun get a little too hot then you can enjoy some welcome shade under one of the many varieties of trees in the garden or even in the 'hangar' which is a sheltered area that stays very cool. |
